Lanark Medieval Fair - 21st and 22nd August
This is the main Scottish Reenactment fair of the year. This event is multi period so you will see wider variety
of reenactors. Last year there were Romans, Vikings, Medieval, a real firing Tudor cannon, and a small band of
Nepoleonic soldiers. There are good trade stalls, good food, great living
history displays and plenty of parking too. For Reenactors camping over
night the beer tent stays open and there is a ceilidh.

This is a fantastic smaller event with one main arena positioned in front of Traquair Castle (the image above is
from the event in 2008). There are horses, a costumed procession, a Tudor cannon, musicians, traders,
good food as well as our fight demonstrations and living history displays.
